155/25. Financial Report

a) To note bank balances, earmarked reserves and payments and receipts since the last meeting

b) To approve the proposed schedule of payments

c) To confirm any potential conflicts of interest with BDO LLP as external auditors to the Parish Council.

156/25. Planning applications: None outstanding, but comments have been made on Pies Farm and Annettes Farm planning applications.

157/25 – Governance (Cllr Doherty) Cllr SD to present updated policies for review and signing off if approved.

PROPOSALS

158/25 To replace right gate post (loose and rotting) and install a side pedestrian gate at entrance to MUGA to gain access to Outdoor Gym. (Cllr. Maughan). Quote attached – £1,021.20

159/25 To clean the pavement at Brightstone Lane as this has become a slip hazard – Quote from PJ Grace attached. (Cllr Maughan) Quote Attached - £360

160/25 Internal Auditor - Quote to carry out the Internal Audit of Farringdon Parish Council from 2024/25 onwards. The contract issued is "good till cancelled" so covers as many years as suits both parties. The fee to our council would be £260 (no VAT applicable) This would cover a part day on site with the Clerk including a full review of compliance requirements. (Cllr Maughan)

161/25 Proposal from Cllr Maughan for a Grant for South Central Ambulance Charity of £100 – This Charity supports over 900 Volunteer Responders. These Volunteer Responders are trained to respond to life-threatening emergencies. They are deployed by South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust’s Emergency Operations Centre and form an integral part of the ambulance service’s emergency patient response. We have a Community First Responder who lives in Farringdon, Mark Blythe, who covers Alton & Surrounding areas (including Farringdon).

162/25 To consider proposed changes to the banking arrangements by moving the Parish Council Bank Accounts from HSBC to Unity Bank. (Cllr Maughan)

163/25 Proposal to agree training courses for the Clerk – Introduction to Local Council Administration (ILCA) & Financial Introduction to Local Council Administration (FILCA) at a cost of £120 for each course. (Cllr Maughan)
